Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the Velveeta cheese, butter, and dark chocolate chips. Stir gently until melted and smooth.
  • Remove the pan from heat and gradually stir in the powdered sugar until fully incorporated.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and, if using, the chopped nuts.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Refrigerate for about 2 hours or until set.
  • Once firm, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months.
