Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 2 bags Chai Tea Bold and aromatic, can substitute with any black tea or herbal chai blend.
  • 2 cups Milk of Choice Use whole, almond, oat, or coconut milk for creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Adds sweetness and complements the spices.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or Maple Syrup Natural sweeteners, can substitute with sugar or sugar-free alternatives.

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon For warmth and fragrance.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger Adds a spicy warmth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Transforms the latte into a cozy potion.

Optional Toppings

  • to taste Whipped Cream For a creamy finish.
  • to taste Cinnamon or Caramel Drizzle For presentation and extra flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by boiling water. Once boiling, steep your chai tea bags for 5 minutes to allow all those wonderful flavors to merge.
  • In a separate saucepan, gently heat your milk of choice until steaming but not boiling.
  • Remove the tea from heat and strain it into a large cup. Stir in the vanilla extract and sweetener, adjusting to taste.
  • If you have a milk frother, froth your warm milk. Otherwise, whisk vigorously until you achieve a lovely foam.
  • Slowly pour the frothed milk over the chai mixture and stir gently to meld them together.
  • Top with a sprinkle of your favorite spices or an indulgent drizzle.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding nutmeg for a festive twist or vanilla bean for richness. Serve over ice for a refreshing variant in warm months. Opt for dairy-free alternatives for a lighter version. Store the tea mixture separately from the froth to maintain flavor and texture.
