Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Pizza Sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded For a gooey texture
  • short pasta Any short pasta (penne, rotini, or macaroni) Gluten-free pasta can also be used
  • drizzle Olive Oil For sautéing
  • to taste Salt and Pepper To balance flavors

Toppings

  • to preference Pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms Use any favorite toppings
  • optional Parmesan Cheese For an extra layer of flavor

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add your choice of meat and veggies. Sauté until they are slightly softened, about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, pizza sauce, sautéed toppings, and half of the mozzarella. Stir until everything is well coated.

Baking

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serving

  • Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. You can freeze individual portions for up to 3 months.
