Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, over medium heat, add the spicy Italian sausage. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
  • Drain excess grease from the pan and stir in garlic powder.
  • Roll out the crescent dough flat on a baking sheet and pinch together the seams.
  • Spread the cooked sausage mixture uniformly over the dough, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and green onions.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and pinch the seams to seal.
  • Slice into 1-inch pinwheels and place them on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let them cool slightly, then serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping and a fresh salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
