Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, combine chicken broth, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, mix in heavy cream to the slow cooker.
  • Shred the chicken in the slow cooker using two forks and mix with the sauce.

Notes

Consider adding fresh spinach or kale for added nutrients. A splash of white wine can enhance flavor.
