Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to mix until just combined.
  • Gently roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a plate.

Cooking

  • Pour half of the sweet-and-spicy sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the meatballs, and then pour the remaining sauce over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.

Serving

  • Once cooking is complete, serve the meatballs hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Chill your mixture for 30 minutes to help the meatballs hold their shape. Test one meatball first before cooking to adjust seasoning if necessary.
