  • 1 whole onion, sliced adds sweetness and depth

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the pork roast generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
  • Place the sliced onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • If adding vegetables, layer them on top of the onion.
  • Sprinkle the minced garlic over the roast and veggies.
  • Add chicken broth around the sides of your roast, ensuring it’s mostly submerged.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker, set it to low for 8 hours (or high for 4), and let it cook.
  • Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks or slice it tenderly.

Notes

For added flavor, try a splash of soy sauce or different spices. Experiment with seasonal vegetables for variety, and store leftovers properly.
