Preparation

  • Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Place them at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  • Once fully cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the slow cooker.

Serving

  • Transfer the succulent BBQ chicken to plates or buns and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze in zip-top bags for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge for the best texture.
