  • 1 pound Bacon Use regular or thick-cut.
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Adds sweetness.
  • to taste BBQ Sauce Optional for glazing.
  • as needed Toothpicks To hold the bacon-wrapped smokies.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut each bacon strip into thirds.
  • Wrap each lil' smokie with a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.

Cooking

  • Place the bacon-wrapped smokies in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
  • Cover and set the slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours until the bacon is crispy.
  • Serve with BBQ sauce on the side or brushed on top before serving.

Notes
