  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite brand or make your own for a personalized kick.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Try a blend of cheeses for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced Caramelize for a sweeter profile if preferred.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Omit if you’re not a fan.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, stretching it to cover the entire surface.
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken and BBQ sauce, mixing well to coat every piece.

Assembly

  • Spread the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the chicken.
  • Scatter the thinly sliced red onions atop the cheese.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Once out of the oven, let it cool for a minute, then sprinkle with fresh cilantro before slicing it into squares.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes. For longer storage, freeze slices wrapped tightly for up to 2 months.
