Preparation

  • Chop the onion, garlic, and bell peppers in advance.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the diced bell peppers, soy sauce, and spices. Mix well and let everything cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare rice according to package instructions.
  • Once rice is ready, serve it in bowls topped with ground beef mixture and optional toppings like green onions, sesame seeds, or avocado.
