Ingredients

Cauliflower Preparation

  • 1 head head of cauliflower Fresh cauliflower adds a delightful crunch; feel free to use frozen as a time-saver.

Batter Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Consider almond or chickpea flour for a gluten-free option.
  • 1/2 cup water Replace with plant-based milk for a creamy twist.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can provide an even bolder flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Try smoked paprika for a lovely twist.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Essential for flavor enhancement.

Buffalo Sauce

  • 1 cup Buffalo sauce Store-bought or homemade for a personal touch.
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter Swap out with vegan butter if desired.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and place them in a large bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until smooth.
  • Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated. Shake off any excess.

Baking

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the coated florets on it. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • While the cauliflower is baking, mix the melted butter with Buffalo sauce in a separate bowl.
  • Remove the cauliflower from the oven and drizzle the Buffalo sauce over the wings. Toss to coat thoroughly.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes to let the flavors meld and the sauce caramelize.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To keep them crispy, reheat them in the oven.
