Ingredients
  

Chocolate and Nuts

  • 200 g dark chocolate Choose high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A minimum of 70% cocoa is recommended for a richer taste.
  • 100 g unsalted pistachios Feel free to use roasted pistachios for an added depth of flavor.

Other Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil This helps to give the chocolate a smooth texture. You can substitute it with another oil like almond or canola if desired.
  • Sea salt A sprinkle enhances the sweetness of the chocolate and balances the flavors.

Preparation

  • Begin by breaking the dark chocolate into small pieces and placing them in a heatproof bowl. Set this bowl over a pot of simmering water to create a double boiler. Stir occasionally until the chocolate melts smoothly.
  • Once melted, gently mix in the coconut oil until fully incorporated, creating a glossy chocolate mixture.
  • While the chocolate melts, roughly chop the pistachios, leaving some whole for topping if you prefer.

Combining and Molding

  • Remove the chocolate from heat and gently fold in the chopped pistachios. Ensure they are evenly distributed throughout the chocolate.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper or use silicone molds. Pour the mixture onto the tray or into the molds, spreading it out evenly.

Setting and Serving

  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top and refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
  • Once set, remove the chocolate from molds or cut into pieces. Serve it on a platter for sharing, perhaps accompanied by a light dessert wine or herbal tea.

Notes

Store your leftover Pistachio Chocolate in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer preservation, freeze it tightly wrapped.
