Preparation

  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot, over medium heat, combine milk, mozzarella cheese, and cheddar cheese. Stir continually until the cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  • Add the cooked macaroni and pepperoni slices to the cheese sauce, stirring gently to coat every noodle with that scrumptious mixture.
  • Continue to cook for a few more minutes until everything is heated through and bubbling slightly. Remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish also freezes beautifully! To reheat, microwave in short intervals or bake in a preheated oven at 350°F until warmed through.
