Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Substitute with whole wheat or gluten-free flour for a healthier option.
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar You can use brown sugar for a caramel hint.
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder The leavening agent that makes these pancakes rise beautifully.
  • pinch Salt Balances sweetness and enhances flavor depth.

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk adds richness; almond or oat milk works well for a healthy option.
  • 1 large Egg Can be swapped with a flaxseed egg for a vegan twist.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Adds rich flavor; substitute with coconut oil for a dairy-free alternative.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, blend the wet ingredients: milk, egg, and melted butter.

Cooking

  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. A few lumps are fine.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  • Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  • Stack the pancakes high on a plate, drizzle with maple syrup, and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

Tips: Add blueberries or bananas to the batter, incorporate spices for a festive flare, or use whole-grain flour for a healthier twist. Refrigerate leftovers for up to three days or freeze them separated by parchment paper.
