Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour The foundation for a light, fluffy pancake.
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Adds a touch of sweetness.
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder Ensures pancakes rise and have a fluffy texture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Elevates the flavors.

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk Use whole milk for creaminess; alternatives like almond or oat milk work well.
  • 1 large Egg Gives structure and richness; a flax egg is a great vegan substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Melted for that wonderfully buttery flavor; can be substituted with coconut oil.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; a few lumps are okay.

Cooking

  • Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  • Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Serving

  • Stack the pancakes high, serve with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!

Notes

Let the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking for fluffier pancakes. Keep the heat medium to avoid burnt outsides.
