Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Best for quick cooking.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh adds depth; garlic powder can be used as well.
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh thyme or rosemary Dried herbs can also work.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Nutritional yeast can be used as a dairy-free alternative.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and sear the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Once cooked through, remove the chicken and set it aside on a plate, leaving the delicious drippings in the pan.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Add herbs and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese and return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy sauce.
  • Let it simmer for a couple more minutes before serving.

Notes

Substitute Greek yogurt for heavy cream for a lighter version. Add sautéed spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor. A splash of white wine or lemon juice can enhance the sauce's brightness. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
