Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess fat and set the meat aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- To the egg mixture, add the browned meat and crumbled bacon. Fold in half of the shredded cheese until well combined.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Pour the mixture into the dish and spread evenly. Top with the remaining cheese.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
Notes
This casserole is not just low in carbs but also rich in nutrients. Add a layer of spinach or kale for extra vitamins. For a vegetarian option, substitute the meat with cauliflower rice. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
