  • 2 cloves Garlic A must for aromatic flavor.
  • 8 oz Egg Noodles Can use whole grain or gluten-free noodles.

  • 10.5 oz Cream of Mushroom Soup Can use a healthier version or homemade soup.
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded Can substitute with mozzarella.
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper Any color works, adds sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt Enhances overall flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet, sauté the onion and garlic over medium heat until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it cooks until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the bell peppers and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Mixing

  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, egg noodles, tomato sauce, and cream of mushroom soup. Mix well until fully combined.

Baking

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Top with a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Add veggies like spinach or zucchini for added nutrition. For a spicy twist, include red pepper flakes or jalapeños. To make it gluten-free, use gluten-free pasta and soup.
