Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken Breast Cut into bite-sized pieces; thighs can be used for a juicier texture.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Local honey works beautifully for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard For a tangy bite; whole grain mustard can be used as a rustic alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Avocado oil is a great alternative.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; enhances aroma and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds a hint of smoky warmth.
  • Salt and Pepper To taste.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken pieces and mix until well coated. Let them sit for at least 10 minutes for the flavors to meld.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Place the marinated chicken in the skillet in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  • Let the chicken cook for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, check doneness by ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove from heat and serve warm, optionally drizzle with a bit more honey.

Notes

For extra crispiness, let the chicken sit uncovered in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes before cooking. Adjust sweetness and tanginess of sauce to your preference. Marinating longer, even up to an hour, enhances flavor.
