  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Choose low-sodium if watching salt intake.
  • 1 Egg Helps bind the mixture; a flax egg is a great substitute for a vegan option.

For garnishing

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • While the meatballs are baking, combine honey, soy sauce, and a dash of sesame oil in a small saucepan and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Once baked, remove the meatballs from the oven and pour the honey sauce over them, tossing gently to coat.
  • Top with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Serve with ranch dressing or spicy mayo for extra flavor.
