Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (fresh or thawed, skin-on or skinless)
  • 1/4 cup honey (choose raw for a richer flavor)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced; feel free to add more for a garlic kick!)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for that perfect sear)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (time to brighten it up!)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions (finely chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, and lemon juice.
  • Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.
  • Place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down into the pan. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy (or the salmon is nicely seared if skinless).
  • Gently flip the salmon fillets and pour in the remaining marinade. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting it with the glaze until it's cooked through and the sauce thickens.
  • Once perfectly cooked, remove the salmon from the skillet and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions. Serve warm.

Notes

Store any uneaten salmon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. When reheating, do so gently to maintain that flaky texture.
