Chicken Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, trimmed You could swap for drumsticks if you prefer

Marinade

  • 1/2 cup honey Local honey adds a lovely touch!
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Low-sodium for a healthier option
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced Fresh is best!
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced Optional but adds a lovely twist
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil For a nutty finish
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Helps to thicken the glaze

Garnish

  • sesame seeds
  • chopped green onions

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.
  • Place the chicken wings in a large mixing bowl and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15–20 minutes or overnight in the fridge.
  • Lay the marinated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25–30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • In the last 5 minutes, brush any remaining marinade over the wings for extra flavor.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, pat them dry before marinating. Ideal for serving with vegetable sticks and dipping sauces.
