Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and ground pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken thighs skin-side down for about 5 minutes until skin is golden and crispy.
  • Flip the chicken and sear the other side briefly.
  • Pour the honey garlic mixture over the seared chicken, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to enhance juiciness.

Notes

For an extra crispy skin, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to three months.
