Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Taste the mixture; it should be a harmonious blend of sweet and savory.
  • Place the chicken drumsticks in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet. Pour the marinade over the drumsticks, making sure each piece is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the drumsticks in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • After 30 minutes, baste the drumsticks with the excess marinade and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
