Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour A great gluten-free alternative that keeps the brownies moist.
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder For that rich chocolate flavor—choose unsweetened for less sugar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Helps the brownies rise, giving them the perfect texture.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances the sweetness.

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup A natural sweetener that adds depth.
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt Adds protein and moisture; feel free to swap it with silken tofu for a dairy-free option.
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter This adds healthy fats and a nice nutty flavor. Use sun butter for a nut-free version.
  • 2 large eggs For binding the ingredients together. Flax eggs are an alternative for a vegan option.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor—don’t skip this!

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly with cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: Greek yogurt, almond butter, honey, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  • Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • If using, gently fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.

Baking

  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
