  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles Try zoodles or whole wheat for a healthier twist.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For gooey, melty goodness; different cheeses can be used.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for flavor; add Italian seasoning or smoked paprika as desired.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all your ingredients.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until the meat is cooked through and the onions are golden.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Lower the heat, then stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to three months. Reheat by baking at 350°F until warmed through.
