  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Earthy, herbal notes that elevate the dish.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Essential for bringing out all the flavors.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish, adds a pop of color and freshness.

Preparation

  • Take your chicken breasts and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over both sides of the chicken.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the unsalted butter and let it melt.
  • Carefully place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet and sear for about 5–7 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  • Once the chicken is almost cooked through, add the minced garlic and thyme to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Baste the chicken continuously with the buttery garlic sauce for enriched flavor.
  • Check the chicken for doneness; it should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Drizzle the sauce over the top and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Substitutions: Greek yogurt can replace sour cream for a lighter option, or use chicken thighs for a more indulgent bite. A splash of lemon juice can add brightness.
