  • 1 lb Sausage (your choice) Spicy Italian sausage recommended, but can use chicken, turkey, or plant-based.
  • 1/2 head Cabbage, chopped Green cabbage recommended.
  • 1 medium Onion, sliced Yellow or white onion adds sweetness.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Elevates the flavor of the dish.
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper, sliced Red for sweetness, green for slight bitterness.

Flavoring Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing; can substitute with sesame oil.
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce Use low-sodium if desired.
  • Salt & Pepper To taste.

Preparation

  • Start by slicing your sausage and veggies.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cooking

  • Add the sausage to the pan, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Toss in the sliced onion and minced garlic; sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the chopped cabbage and sliced bell pepper, stir-frying everything together for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour in the soy sauce and season generously with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Plate up your stir fry and enjoy!

Notes

Add more veggies like carrots or snap peas for nutrition. Can spice up with red pepper flakes or sriracha. Top with fresh herbs for extra flavor. Vegan option available with plant-based sausage and tamari.
