  • 8 oz Pasta (any short pasta, such as penne or rotini) Choose pasta shapes that hold sauce well.
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey Substitute half with veggies or beans for a lighter option.
  • 1 jar Pizza Sauce (about 24 oz) Homemade or store-bought is fine.

Cheese and Toppings

  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded Use fresh mozzarella for a gourmet touch or dairy-free for vegan.
  • 1 cup Pepperoni Slices Can substitute with diced vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini.
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning Enhance with garlic powder or red pepper flakes if desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain well.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey. Season with salt and pepper.

Assembly

  • Stir in the pizza sauce and cooked pasta, mixing thoroughly.
  • Fold in half of the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish, topping with the remaining mozzarella cheese and any extra toppings you desire.

Baking

  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days, or freeze portions for later. Reheat in the oven or microwave while adding a splash of water to maintain moisture.
