  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil for a higher smoke point.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh minced garlic can also work.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Shallot powder can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Regular paprika can be used for a milder flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Adjust according to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Can add cayenne for extra heat.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure they become crispy.
  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Toss the wings in the mixture until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or on a lightly greased rack.

Cooking

  • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • 5 minutes before the wings are done, switch to broil to achieve extra crunch.

Serving

  • Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Try different spices or sauces for variations. Store wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
