Preparation

  • Start by rinsing the chicken wings under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
  • Season the wings generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the seasoned wings and toss them well.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry the wings for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the honey BBQ sauce by combining the barbecue sauce and honey in a bowl.
  • Once the wings are cooked, toss them in the honey BBQ sauce until well coated.
  • Return the sauced wings to the air fryer for another 5 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Remove the wings from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes at 350°F (175°C). To freeze, they can last up to 3 months; just thaw and reheat as needed.
