Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings Look for fresh wings if possible; they'll have the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder This is key for achieving maximum crispiness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances overall flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon pepper Adds a hint of spice.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For depth; fresh garlic works wonderfully too.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Introduces a smoky warmth.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Helps the seasoning adhere and promotes crisping.
  • to taste your favorite wing sauce Choose anything from buffalo to teriyaki to customize your experience.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse your chicken wings and pat them dry using paper towels. The drier the wings, the crispier they'll be!
  • In a large bowl, mix baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika together.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl and drizzle the olive oil over them. Toss until they’re evenly coated in the seasoning mix.
  • Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Cooking

  • Air fry the wings for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, open the basket and shake it gently to flip the wings.
  • Cook for another 10 minutes.
  • If they aren't as crisp as you like, air fry for an additional 2-5 minutes.
  • Remove the wings and toss them in your chosen sauce, or serve them plain with the sauce on the side.

Notes

Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes until they're hot and crispy again.
