  • 1 pound ground beef can substitute with ground turkey or plant-based protein
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni whole wheat or gluten-free varieties work as well
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix homemade ranch seasoning can be used as a substitute
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) or a homemade version for healthier nutrition
  • 1 cup beef broth vegetable or chicken broth can be alternatives
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese try a reduced-fat version or dairy-free cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil can use avocado oil for a different flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Sliced green onions or parsley

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the ground beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • While the beef is browning, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions in a separate pot until al dente.

Combining Ingredients

  • Once the beef is cooked and the macaroni is al dente, add the ranch dressing mix, cream of mushroom soup, and beef broth to the skillet. Mix until well combined.
  • Stir in the drained macaroni and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and everything is creamy and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Finalizing the Dish

  • Taste and add salt and pepper as needed. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped green onions or parsley before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze portions in freezer-safe bags or containers for up to 3 months.
