  • 2 tablespoons Ranch seasoning mix Homemade ranch seasoning can be used if preferred.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the overall aroma.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Adjust based on preference.

Preparation

  • Wash the fresh green beans thoroughly and trim the ends.
  • Peel (if desired) and dice the Yukon Gold potatoes into bite-sized cubes.
  • Note: Dicing uniformly helps with even cooking.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the bacon from the pan and let it drain on paper towels.
  • Keep about 2 tablespoons of bacon grease in the skillet for added flavor.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Toss in the diced potatoes and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and ranch seasoning mix.
  • Stir well to coat the potatoes with the seasoning and cook for about 10 minutes until they start to soften.
  • Add the green beans to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  • Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the beans are tender but still vibrant in color.
  • Crumble the crispy bacon and sprinkle it over the dish just before serving.

Notes

Serve as a standalone dish or pair with grilled chicken or steak. Can garnish with freshly chopped parsley or a squeeze of lemon juice for added flavor.
