  • 1 cup milk Cold milk preferred
  • 1 packet (3.4 oz) Instant Pudding Mix (any flavor of your choice) Choose your favorite flavor
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese Should be softened for easy mixing
  • 8 oz tub of Cool Whip Cool Whip can be substituted with homemade whipped cream

Preparation

  • Choose your pudding mix flavor. Popular options include white chocolate, vanilla, chocolate banana cream, pistachio, coconut cream, cheesecake, and lemon.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the instant pudding mix with 1 cup of cold milk and whisk until thickened.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whip the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer on slow speed until smooth.
  • Gradually add the pudding mixture to the cream cheese in spoonfuls, mixing until smooth after each addition.
  • Gently fold half of the Cool Whip into the cream cheese and pudding mixture, then repeat with the remaining Cool Whip until fully combined.

Serving

  • Spread the frosting generously over your favorite cakes or cupcakes.
  • This frosting pairs well with chocolate cake, vanilla cupcakes, or even a fresh fruit tart.
  • Use it as a dip for fruits like strawberries or pineapple slices, and dust with chocolate shavings or sprinkles for presentation.

Notes

Best used cold; can store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. For freezing, use a freezer-safe container and thaw overnight in the fridge.
