Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the instant pudding mix and milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Gently fold in the Cool Whip with a spatula to maintain the airy texture.
  • If desired, taste the mixture and fold in a spoonful of powdered sugar for additional sweetness.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes before using to allow it to set.
  • Spread or pipe the frosting over your favorite cake or dessert.

Notes

This frosting can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-5 days. It can also be frozen in a freezer-safe container and thawed in the fridge when needed.
