Ingredients

For the Brownies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter For that rich, velvety texture.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar The sweetness that binds everything together.
  • 4 large eggs Ensures the brownies are moist and cake-like.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a hint of warmth and depth.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour The foundation for your brownies.
  • 1 cup cocoa powder For that deep, chocolatey flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Balances the sweetness perfectly.

For the Topping

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries Sliced; they’ll become the delicious topping.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips For melting and drizzling over the top.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare Your Baking Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  • Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Mix Sugar and Eggs: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until glossy.
  • Add Vanilla: Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet ingredients.

Baking

  • Pour and Bake: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Prepare the Strawberries: While the brownies are baking, wash and slice the fresh strawberries.
  • Melt the Chocolate Chips: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until smooth.

Assembly

  • Assemble the Brownies: Once cooled, remove the brownies from the pan, layer sliced strawberries on top, and drizzle melted chocolate over them.

Notes

Substitute butter with coconut oil for a dairy-free version. Use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for three months.
