Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper until thick and creamy.
  • Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the chicken mixture.
  • Cover with an even layer of frozen tater tots.

Cooking

  • Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, until the tots are crispy and cheese is bubbling.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider adding crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs for extra crunch. For a spicy twist, include diced jalapeños or hot sauce. You can use turkey or a meat substitute as well.
