  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese swap with mozzarella or a plant-based cheese for dairy-free
  • 1 bag (32 oz) tater tots use sweet potato tater tots for a twist
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped optional, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, chopped bacon, ranch dressing, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper as desired.
  • Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Pour the chicken mixture into the bottom of the dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the chicken mixture.

Baking

  • Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil, sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, and return the casserole to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Once baked, let the casserole cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions.
