Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or use non-stick spray for easy clean-up.
  • In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes and sliced sausage. Drizzle with olive oil, and add salt and pepper to taste. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the potato and sausage mixture, ensuring everything is well seasoned.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the sausage is heated through.
  • Remove the dish from the oven, and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top. Return it to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Stir in the sour cream before serving; this will make the dish even creamier and more indulgent.

Notes
