Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the minced beef along with chopped onions for about 5-7 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and optional mixed vegetables.

Assembly

  • In a greased baking dish, spread half of the frozen hash browns at the bottom.
  • Pour half of the beef and cream mixture over the hash browns and sprinkle with half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Repeat the layering with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a generous layer of cheese.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.

Notes
