  • 1 pound bacon Thick-cut, cooked and crumbled.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Or a blend for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup ranch dressing Homemade or store-bought.
  • 2 cups frozen tater tots Crispy and golden for the best texture.
  • 1/2 cup green onions Sliced, for a pop of freshness.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or fresh minced garlic for a richer flavor.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, garlic powder, and half of the cheese. Mix thoroughly to ensure even flavor distribution.
  • Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Top with the frozen tater tots, arranging them in a single layer for the best crunch.

Baking

  • Bake for 25 minutes, until the tater tots begin to turn golden brown.
  • After 25 minutes, sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top and return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes.

Serving

  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Just before serving, sprinkle the green onions on top for a fresh finish.

Notes

Leftover casserole can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best flavor, reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through.
