Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Add-ins

  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Topping

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, and egg until a thick dough forms.
  • Fold in the toffee bits and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is just set. A toothpick should come out mostly clean, with a few moist crumbs.

Cooling and Serving

  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Once fully cooled, slice into bars and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
