  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Honey can be used for a different sweetness profile.
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon Brings a unique richness to the sauce.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Fresh or minced for aroma.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Grated for a hint of spice and warmth.
  • 2 stalks Green Onions For garnish.

Preparation and Cooking

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, warm a splash of oil.
  • Add diced chicken and cook until it's golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, garlic, and ginger.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for about 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir occasionally and ensure the chicken is well coated.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

For a bit of heat, you can sprinkle in some red pepper flakes. Consider adding bell peppers or snap peas for added color and nutrition.
