Batter Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bisquick mix The star of the recipe for simplicity.
  • ½ cup sugar Brings out the flavor of the peaches.
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk creates richer texture; alternatives include almond or oat milk.
  • ½ cup butter Melted for richness.
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon A warming spice.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds complexity.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches with the lemon juice and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
  • Stir in the milk and melted butter until just mixed, being careful not to overwork the batter.
  • Pour the peaches into a greased baking dish and dollop the batter over the top.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add berries or chopped apples for variations. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze individual portions for 2 months.
