  • 2 cloves garlic, minced a must for anyone who loves robust flavors.

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning an aromatic blend that brings everything together.
  • to taste salt and pepper essential for enhancing all the flavors.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until they soften.
  • Stir in the uncooked rice, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 25 minutes covered with foil, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to make this in advance and store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can also freeze in portions for later use.
