Creaminess and Seasoning

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the stew meat in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Remove the meat from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.

Cooking

  • Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing them to release their moisture and brown slightly.
  • Return the browned stew meat to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook covered for about 60 minutes.
  • After 60 minutes of simmering, reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream until well blended.

Serving

  • Once everything is well combined and heated through, serve your Beef Stroganoff over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently. For longer storage, consider freezing the dish for up to 3 months.
