  • 1 lb Beef Flank Steak, sliced thinly against the grain Tender and flavorful.

  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Aromatic and adds depth.
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, grated A warm, zesty flavor enhancer.
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch For thickening the sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil To stir fry and sear.
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil A finishing touch for nuttiness.
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes, optional For a touch of heat.
  • Green Onions, for garnish Freshness and a pop of color.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice your flank steak and chop your broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, combine sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large pan or wok over high heat, add vegetable oil.
  • When the oil shimmers, add the beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add broccoli, garlic, and ginger. Stir fry for 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender yet still crisp.
  • Return the beef to the pan, add sesame oil, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir together for another minute or two.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve over jasmine rice or noodles. You can refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze for up to three months.
