Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts You can use thighs for a juicier option!
  • ½ cup cornstarch A great gluten-free thickening option.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup mayonnaise Substitute with Greek yogurt for a lighter twist!
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust based on your spice tolerance!
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Fresh is best, but bottled lime juice works too.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions For garnish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a shallow dish, sprinkle the cornstarch over the chicken pieces, ensuring each piece is generously coated.

Cooking

  • Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add your coated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice until smooth.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and toss it in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
  • Serve your Bang Bang Chicken warm, topped with freshly chopped green onions.

Notes

Consider adding chopped bell peppers or shredded carrots for added crunch. For a healthier option, grilling the chicken instead of frying can still deliver great flavor. Feel free to add minced garlic for extra taste.
